At Fairview Electrolysis Clinic, we use the "thermolysis" method of electrolysis. Thermolysis, also known as high frequency or short wave, is the most modern method used by electrologists today.
It is an alternating current that causes a heat process which is known to destroy the vital parts of the hair follicle and is very effective.

Hair is becoming a more noticeable problem in today's society. It has been found that people under stress often develop heavier growths of hair than they might under normal conditions.

A disposable filament will be issued to the client before each treatment to ensure protection from today's contagious diseases.

At Fairview Electrolysis Clinic we believe in giving our clients a clean conscience.

A few probable causes of hair growth include:
• Distortion due to heredity, a glandular defect inherited   from either parent.
• Distortion due to temporary methods such as   tweezing, waxing, bleach and depilatories.
• Glandular imbalances: if hair appears abnormal we   advise our clients to see their doctor before returning.
• Medications: some medicines or pills may cause a   chemical imbalance.
• Menopause may cause a change in the
  estrogen level.

Electrolysis involves the use of a thin filament that directs an electrical current to a single hair follicle at a time. The electrologist uses a sterilized, disposable probe (filament) to actually penetrate the hair follicle. After the electrical current is applied to the hair follicle, the hair shaft can be removed from the follicle. Over time, hair does not grow back because the hair's root (dermal papilla) is permanently destroyed.
